I suggest coffee and cake to discover all the new shops and fantastic products to follow!
I’m new to the team, but can’t remember if I joined in late May or in June. I just know it was quite recently.
I’ve been crafting almost all my life. I got started by learning to knit at just 4 years old. I’m 59 now, and over the last 55 years have tried almost every type of craft there is. Some I loved and still do when I can, others I didn’t much care for and so never tried again. I started making jewellery 4 years ago and enjoyed it so much that I soon had way too much jewellery and realised that, if I wanted to continue making it, I would need to open a shop. So here I am.
I love working with beads, so most of the things I have in my shop are beaded. I’m keen to find other, non-jewellery, items that I can make using beading techniques, but so far I have only added beaded snowflake decorations to my shop. I have a large number of items ready to sell, but haven’t had time to list them yet as I’m also attempting to sell at as many craft fairs as possible. The craft fairs are fun but they take up sooo much time!
I am sharing one of my newest and most favorite paintings.
I have my Etsy shop since last September. I make original embroidery designs. I try adding listings as often as I can.
My recent Christmas-related one is this ornament design. I have a few of the kind, but this is my favorite from the lot:
I’m the busy tree rat behind “Nuttier Than A Squirrel”. I collect, create, photograph, and market my line of handmade acorn jewelry.
My shop sprouted in 2012 among the beautiful hills of the Shawnee National Forest in southern Illinois. Last spring, I relocated to the Big Easy (New Orleans, Louisiana) to pursue art making on a full-time basis.
I keep my shop fresh with new stones offered in limited quantities, which change on a monthly basis. I am inspired by all things natural and love to spend my free time exploring new spaces with my old-school film camera. To find out more about my processes or shop, check out my “About Page“.
Here is a sample of Ruby Zoisite + Sterling Silver Acorn Earrings, which are a limited edition for July 2015.
I am the owner, designer, and metalsmith at Uruz Metals. My shop operates out of my home-based shop in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana.
I have been working with metal since 2004 as a student at Southern Illinois University. After college, I worked in the construction and pipe fitting industry with southern Illinois coalmines. In 2012, I was laid off from employment and jumped at the opportunity to invest my time into fine art production and developing my own business. To find out more, please check out my “About Page“.
My work gained quite a bit of notoriety in southern Illinois; so much so that I decided to take the leap into full-time art production in the art-loving Big Easy. I am currently working as an artist and freelance metalsmith, and enjoying every minute of it.
When I’m not working in my shop, I am enjoying all things New Orleans – art, food, and music!
This is one of my most recent postings – Black Pearl Drop Earrings inspired by the oysters of Louisiana.
I just found this team as I was thinking about the prospect of Christmas in July. Someone mentioned the sale, and I started searching the forums, and this team was praised.
I started my shop, Of Mice and Elves, last June, and I sew aprons, including dress up aprons, and baby items. It was still in its infancy last July, so this will be my first year participating. In fact, I hadn’t even gotten my first sale until the middle of July! Since then, I have had almost 100 sales, which is a milestone in itself, and I am still thinking of new items to put in. I made fun presents for my nieces and nephews and everyone said I should sell them, so I decided to open shop. My busy season is usually Sept-Oct, as my dress up aprons make great Halloween costumes! I am in baby shower mode at the moment, and have had lots of opportunities to get my name out there with all the custom blanket and burp cloth bundles I’ve been making for family and friends’ new additions. I look forward to having some fun with the team in July at our event, and wish everyone happy sales!
This is my customizable baby shower bundle, which is my standard gift for any new mom, once I find out what her color scheme/nursery theme is. I have plans to add many more bundles with matching themed blankets and burp cloths over the next few months.
I’m Elitsa and me and my husband run a t-shirt shop on Etsy since last December.
We like to design matching t-shirts for best friends, married couples, parents and kids, etc.
We also have passion for funny quotes that go on apparel and reflect people’s personalities. We believe strong statements on your t-shirt can help you express yourself.
I’m happy to share one of our models here:
I am also new member, I am not familiar with this team. Maybe you can help me!
I am retired Restaurateur for 13 years now. I love to garden, make jewelry( took few lessons from our local Bead Store ). I became addicted with it. I also love vintage jewelry, home decor, vintage glassware and anything old. It fascinates me.
I hope you like my shop.
My name is Karen and I’m new here. I’m from Malaysia. In case you don’t know where Malaysia is, we’re just right above Singapore!
My passion is designing and making jewelry. Lately I’ve added real butterfly wings to my designs. The butterfly wings are obtain from butterfly aviaries once their life has expired. No butterfly is harmed for my jewelry.
I’m also supporting an organisation called Primate Education Network. They have set up a shop on Shopify whereby for every monkey themed jewelry sold, I will contribute 15% of the proceeds to their organisation.
I love selling on Etsy. Do drop by my shop. Thank you.
I’m Sandra from the UK , knitter and new knitting pattern designer.
Think I’ve been a member of CIJ for a few years but never ever posted on a thread before. I actively want to be involved this year.
Here’s my newest design created whilst on holiday. Was inspired by the lovely colours in the yarn and wanted to create something special that took advantage of all the summer colours and was pretty and feminine.
I’m Becky from Canada. I’m a yarn fanatic, and in my shop you’ll find crochet patterns, finished crochet items (mainly blankets and winter wear), and some knit items. I’ve got some weaving and locker-hooking items on my To Do list, too!
I just posted this pattern today. (As well as the sample, as a finished item for sale.)
I’m fairly new to selling on Etsy (I just opened up shop this February), so I’m very excited to be participating in this event! I’ve got my coupon code all set up and waiting to be activated. I can’t wait!

Hi everyone!
I’m Rebecca and I am one of Mrs. Claus’s many elves around the world. I just joined the team and this is my first year for #EtsyCIJ. Very excited to get everything figured out and get up to speed.
I think I discovered the world of crafting in kindergarten when they handed me my first piece of paper and bottle of finger paints. I’ve been at it ever since.
I also have OCD, Obsessive Christmas Disorder which I thank my grandma for. When I was five she bought me my first little 3 foot aluminum tree with pink pine cone ornaments frosted in white. I haven’t stopped since. The crafting and Christmas became a natural extension of each other.
With Pinterest came a whole new world of crafting to explore and I became fascinated with the quilted Christmas ornaments. I made two and haven’t stopped since.
It didn’t take long to realize ornaments are a year round thing. I love the time and effort that goes into each one, from looking for just the right fabrics to go together, to the hand crafting of each unique one. I may use some of the same fabrics on several ornaments, but no two finished designs are ever the same. Each is created with love to hold memories for years to come and to be passed down from generation to generation. Mrs Claus and I would not accept anything less.
I am a Social Media Manager by day so if there is anything I can be a help with, just give me a shout out. This is my Frosty Winter Ornament.

Hello, everybody.
I saw about CIJ on forums and thoughtt I would try doing it this year. I have had my shop since November 2013. I have sold my crafts for over 20 years at local shows.
I am 63 and had to finally learn to use a computer to do this! I have been sewing for 50 years now, and knitting and crocheting almost as long. Love working with fibers, yarns and fabrics. I sew most of my own modest clothes and have sewn for family and friends also. I enjoy making shawls to go with old fashioned style clothing.
I also love cats and dogs and nature themes. I have more ideas for things to make and sell than I have energy!
My husband helps with photos, computer training, and lifting and shipping. Here is a white bridal shawl I knitted:

As we represent new technique, it would be great to get more popular and reach the costumer. Some of our works:
Hi everyone, just joined the team! I have been selling on Etsy since August of 2010. I make beaded jewelry and rosaries, and I also sell beads and jewerly supplies.
I created Bead Lovers Korner about 13 years ago and have been selling online ever since then. About 5 years ago I quit my full time day job to work at home operating my business. While it has it’s ups and downs, I love what I do and the flexibility of making my own hours!
I look forward to learning more on this team!
Hello Everybody.

I have been making and designing jewelry for about 5 years. Before that my passion was photography and painting. I love arts and crafts so I love being here on Etsy where there are so many splendid artists.
This is the most exquisite and time-consuming piece I have for sale:
Hi and thanks for setting up this team and coordinating this great event! I’ve been on Etsy a little over a year and this is my first CIJ event – I’m excited to be a part of it!
I’ve been working with glass as a hobby for quite a while now, starting in the stained glass art and then moving into fusing glass. I enjoy the craft and spend as much time as I can in my home studio.
I sell my glass jewelry here on Etsy, but I’ve also been exploring making decorative and functional pieces as well, which I hope one day to sell too. Here’s a little sampling of my jewelry. I hope you like it!
Hi all
Very excited to be part of this team. I love the Christmas season.
My shop is chock full of vintage/antique items. I have always loved the designs and styles of long ago and so enjoy shopping (the best part) for new finds. What I find most rewarding is learning about older periods..so much history!
I look forward to my first year participating in Christmas in July.
Hello, everyone!
My name is Yvonne. I have been collecting Vintage jewelry for the past many years, and decided to turn my hobby into a business. I am new to Etsy, but have been selling on Ebay since 2007. My how time flies!! I am in the process of moving my inventory over to Etsy.
I specialize in Handmade vintage sterling silver jewelry, mostly Native American or Mexican mid-century designed. I am also interested in collectibles, also vintage. Please stop by my shop and say hello.
HelloY’All!
I am Debbie & opened my shop just this month and found this Team and LOVE the information already that is given by so many wonderful shops.
I am originally from Maine – born & raised. My husband Brian and I moved to Florida 1 1/2 years ago now, and love it! No more filling that outside wood boiler at midnight for heat or shoveling snow!
We owned a shop under another name – (Bib-Dazzle Me, LLC) specializing in Children’s Bibs, Blankets, Toys & more as I was running a day-care at that time and it seemed a logical choice.
In our “down-time” we both enjoy sailing and look forward to the day we can get our 25ft. Catilina sailboat down here from Maine and get back on the water! Enjoy spending time with our new 6 month old puppy Miss Bella, that we adopted 2 weeks ago at a local shelter.
And are avid Nascar fans.
I have Fibromyalgia and enjoy making my Natural Hot/Cold Wraps & Packs to help provide comfort and relief for many others. All specific designs are my very own, though I will never claim to have re-invented the wheel here as Hot/Cold Therapy as been around a long time. I do however know my product and strive to always provide quality product.
I look forward to “networking” with fellow shops and owners. So, please come on over to License 2 Craft, LLC and see for yourself what we are all about. I always give the “Love” back to any shop or social networking.
Hope to “meet ya’ll soon!” ~Debbie
Hello I am new to etsy (6 mos). I am a proprietor of a vintage shop. I collect and sell all things vintage. I pride myself on offering a wide array of vintage wares for every budget and taste. This is one of my favorite items from the shop.
Hi I’m the creator behind Gomis.
Whereby I travel around the world and work with local artisans to make wonderful and unique items that are hard to find in the States.
I’ve been to Brazil, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, and Mexico. I just came back from my recent trip to Brazil and these Soapstone pots are something I’m particularly proud about. They are Environmentally Friendly, make great gifts for cooks, and just look amazing!
Hello, I joined a couple of weeks ago and have set up my coupon code and also changed tags and headings to include CIJ or Christmasinjuly. I’m just wondering what else I should be doing? Pondering whether I should create a section for CIJ and just offer a percentage discount on the items in that section or apply the code to all the items in my shop. What do you all do?
I got this wonderful Christmas Harris Tweed last year from an independent weaver and my tweed coasters are selling well so thought I would feature these:
My name is Janine from NSW Australia, and I just joined this team today! I found this team as I was browsing my own team page and saw a post about Christmas in July. I’m not really sure how it works!
I recently opened up a natural soap store on Etsy and will be introducing Candles soon. One of my hopes as an Etsy seller is to contribute to my family, but also to give back something to those less fortunate than myself…that is why I support Compassion Australia’s Child Survival Programs.
Today I would like to post an item from my shop that could be repackaged to be a little more Christmassy…and that is my Pink Peppermint Soap…perhaps with some peppermint candy cane wrap…not sure.
Season’s Greetings!
I just joined this team yesterday, and although I have been selling on Etsy for a couple of years this is the first time my shop, Red Yucca Designs, will be part of Christmas in July.
I am from the Boston area originally, but relocated to southern Nevada in 1996. I have been painting and making things for decades (since I was a small child). I majored in visual arts in college many years ago (BFA in Painting), but I have gone in many different creative directions over the years, including 20 or so years doing graphic design and marketing communications, mostly for high-tech companies. I enjoyed that work but I am glad it is behind me now and I am spending my time making what I want to make, with no creative guidelines or restrictions. If someone likes what I make, great. If they like it enough to buy it, even better! It is fun being able to offer a variety of OOAK, handmade items in my Etsy shop, including jewelry, greeting cards and other assorted hand-painted goods.
Here is one of my newer items where it finally occurred to me (better late than never) to combine my painting with my jewelry making: one of my gemstone necklaces with hand-painted pendant.
I have just joined. My interests are in Vintage Wedding accessories. I hand make bridal head pieces. I also have vintage gift items and vintage jewelry.
Here are some samples in my shop.
Hi Everyone – Can’t remember if I joined in May or June but glad to be here and excited for my first CIJ event!
I’m a mom to 2 great kids, wife to wonderful husband, and entrepreneur to Madcapz – my hat business started when I was sick and losing my hair and couldn’t find a fun feminine baseball cap!
Looking forward to Christmas in July and this is one of my fun caps that will be 20% off:
Hello I joined today and this is my first CIJ event not quite sure how it all works but willing too give it a go. I have enjoyed crafts most of my life, and had my own ceramic studio, many moons ago.
I love anything crafty, knitting sewing, jewelry, ceramics, stained glass and faberge style eggs.
Looking forward to the event.
Hello! Jewelry is my passion and I have been designing and creating pieces since I was a kid. Last year when my son was born prematurely and spent 33 days in the NICU I decided to quit my corporate job and become a stay at home mom. I opened my Etsy shop last month and am having such a blast making items to list, especially these fun up-cycled leather belt cuff bracelets.
It is so much fun! I used to sell at local craft fairs and trade shows but am excited to be part of the Etsy global community.
Allyson from USA! I picked up the rainbow loom when the craze swept last year and now as it becomes less popular I stick with it and amp it up a notch with unique items and beautiful color combinations! I also make friendship bracelets like you may have at summer camp as a child like I did, but I take them to the next level with intricate patterns and new styles.
Love the idea of Christmas in July because of how summery my shop is! Most of my items scream summer and the idea of a summer sale will hopefully lead to more sales and customers!
I just joined the team (better late than never).
I sell wall art, digital downloads, and stationery. Most of my items are Aviation or Nautical themed because my husband is a pilot and I grew up on the East coast.
Here is one of my newly listed items that I hope you like:
Well, that the new June members – visit their stores, fav some items and spread the love!
