Contributor post by Michelle of EviesToolEmporium

I am fascinated by trends. Are you? There are weather trends, work place trends, business trends, job trends, food trends, real estate trends, hair trends, fashion trends color trends and so on.

The definition of a trend is a general direction in which something is developing or changing. In college I took several classes on trends. I remember distinctly studying pre peak – peak – post peak timelines. I find trends intriguing. They pique my curiosity.

Trends unite us. Give us a common ground. A connecting point.

Fall Is The Favorite Season Of Cristal From DesignsbyCristal

DesignsbyCristal

 1. What is your favorite season and why?

Fall is my favorite season. I love fall because after the hot and humid summers in GA this cool and crisp weather is a welcome feeling. I also love the fall because I can visit Stone Mountain Park or any of the mountains to see the beautiful colors in different hues of red, yellow and orange from all the trees changing.
There is one mountain my kids and I walk up called Kennesaw Mountain National Park and you can stand on top of the look out station and view all the beautiful colors for miles and miles with the city of Atlanta in the backdrop!

2. What season is it now where you live? Have you seen a visible sign of the season changing?

Right now in GA we are still in the summer season. Although in 12 days Fall is supposed to start but with 91 degree temps expected over the next 10 days it would be hard to tell. The only thing that tells me Fall is upon us is the morning sun is coming up earlier than before and a few mornings have been kind of cool which I love.

3. What item in your shop represents your favorite season and the story behind it?

This dog bandana is one of my items that represents the fall for me. In GA everybody seems to love this season as you can see many places already putting out their decor. I have friends who are even decorating the inside of their homes with fall decor! I can’t wait to start driving around neighborhoods to see their beautiful fall displays of pumpkins, hay, scarecrows and all the pretty foliage that represents our fall season.

4. What seasonal traditions are celebrated in your part of the world?

In GA we celebrate with fall/harvest festivals every single weekend!! You will find them at churches, parks, and even quite a few farms. I attend about 3 or 4 as a vendor and get my booth dressed up in fall decor to go along with the warm atmosphere. The others we just go as a family to enjoy all the festivities each one has to offer.

Summer Is The Favorite Season Of Margie From ZenCatPottery

ZenCatPottery

1. What is your favorite season and why?

Summer! I grew up in S. California and love the beach and warm weather. Flip flops are my favorite footwear. I dislike wearing a lot of clothing and being cold!

2. What season is it now where you live? Have you seen a visible sign of the season changing?

It is still summer, but things are beginning to move into Fall. The nights are getting colder and the days are getting shorter. The other day, I saw a tree whose leaves were beginning to change! It made me sad, but the person I was with was very happy (she loves Fall)!

3. What item in your shop represents your favorite season and the story behind it?

The Lemon Yellow Fruit Juicer in my shop represents summer. It is bright and cheerful. It can be used to make lemonade in the summer. Growing up we had a lemon tree in our back yard. During the summer, it was always full of lemons. My mom used to make pitchers of lemonade for us to drink on hot Los Angeles summer days!

This juicer can be used all year round to squeeze lemons, oranges and limes.

4. What seasonal traditions are celebrated in your part of the world?

I live in the mountains of northern New Mexico. Summer here is filled with outdoor activities: hiking, camping, swimming, biking etc. But I sure do miss the beach!

Hoops

Mairi from mairidesign says:

The article says, “When it comes to hoops, we’re not afraid to go big.” Well, here are a pair of big hoops with the most gorgeous rainbow thorn beads. Perfect for grabbing the limelight on the dance floor as the purply flames frame your face and sparkle like fireworks.

Lockets

Kristen from KestrelCollection says:

Hi! This necklace was assembled piece by piece until it just felt “done.” Sort of like, “if you give a mouse a cookie” just keeps going… I started with a green organza ribbon and then this necklace just kept going.

I love the classic and simple charm of a good ribbon but it needed a little dressing up, so I decided to add a golden book locket for a pendant. The locket on a ribbon was beautiful on its own but a book that can hold a secret reminded me gardens so I added a piece of gold filigree that reminds me of sunshine and dangled some clay flowers to grow.

Wear this necklace and take the garden with you! Remember that anything can grow if you work on it.

Inclusive Toys

Przemila K from CanisArtStudio says:

Children, especially teenagers, love to collect their little treasures. I recommend colorful boxes for school supplies and boxes for various other small treasures. I’m painting my boxes by hand and you can also order boxes with your favorite motif: pet or other.

Self-Care For Kids

Carola Bartz from CarolaBartz says:

When my daughter was little and she had to go back to school after the long and wonderful summer break I used to put little notes in her lunchbox that told her how much I love her and that I wish her good luck in school. I also did that when she had a test or a presentation etc. So I made a set of six lunchbox mini notes with a shamrock for good luck. They are folded square cards that allow the parent to write a short personal message inside. Love and good luck is a timeless trend!

CarolaBartz

Little Change Makers

Kristen from KestrelCollection says:

This necklace is perfect for a new middle-school student.

It fits with the 2018 back to school themes of self-care for kids and little change makers. A great confident booster for your tween! Give them this one of a kind gift and tell them to Read for the Stars! The only limit to our destination is how big we dream.

mistycat1234 from carolinagirlz2 says:

I always looked forward to the first day of school, it was when I was able to reconnect with all my friends in the days before social media, cell phones, and the internet!

Italy: Accessories

Lia Russo from Ghirlandiamo says:

I’m from Italy, where people are very careful to match everything they wear: from the dress to the shoes. For this particular attention to the accessories, together with other characteristics, Italians are world known for their elegance.

This bracelet can be used either as wedding and as prom corsage. The roses are so tender and the corsage so rich in flowers, that it can enhance any dress, even the simplest! Of course it’s one-of-a-kind, just for a special girl!

Australia: Eco-Approach Jewelry

Dawn Whitehand from DeeDeeDesigns says:

I am an Australian seller, and these earrings fit right into the Australia: Eco-Approach category being made from recycled guitar strings and beads made from recycled paper. They are lightweight and comfortable to wear, and environmentally friendly!
