Summer 2015 Trend: Personalization

Contributor post by Michelle of EviesToolEmporium

I am fascinated by trends. Are you? There are weather trends, work place trends, business trends, job trends, food trends, real estate trends, hair trends, fashion trends color trends and so on.

The definition of a trend is a general direction in which something is developing or changing. In college I took several classes on trends. I remember distinctly studying pre peak – peak – post peak timelines. I find trends intriguing. They pique my curiosity.

Trends unite us. Give us a common ground. A connecting point.

During the #CIJParty 2015 I introduced you to the Summer 2015 Trends. Over the next few days I would like to share the CIJ team member trends in more detail!

The fifth summer trend we’re going to explore is Personalization. This article is inspired by the Trend Watch Summer 2015 on the Etsy blog.

rina from RinartsAtelier says:

Last year I met an artisan bookbinder who had a hot foil press she worked with to press names and symbols in the linen of the books she made.  She printed these hearts on leather for me.

I was so enthusiastic about the results, I bought a letter-press myself, and now I can do it myself. This is one of my first personalized items, but there are many to come!

I am experimenting with personalizing some of my items on Etsy.
I wrote about my experiences on my blog:

Michele from chelkay says:

I have designed several personalized pieces with a vintage, antique, retro style appearance. The characters have an imperfect rubber stamp like appearance from the days of old which matches the sepia antique color of the font.

The custom lettering is ‘fused’ to the glass at a high temperature of over 1200 degrees.

Kristy Jo from KrystalKlarityBeads says:

I love to make custom things to support cancer awareness – I am a 4 year survivor of lung cancer – and I love to offer as many different charms/customized colors, and more! I try to keep costs down on anything related to these type of listings also, as it is my way of giving something back.

I just got started with personalizing and you will see added personalization available very soon – especially with anything cancer related, awareness in general, or inspirational.

Rasa Nenart from Toyfifi says:

Big bear with big heart is so so cute! At least a lot of people say so! I hope it is true.

This bear was born in my drawing.

Firstly it was without heart and with no name on it, but I had another toy which was holding a heart in his hands, but still it had just a heart, but no name on it. One day a custom order came which said:

“I just love this bear, but I need a name on it, maybe it could be in a heart like another toy has?”

It was amazing Idea. I just loved final image of it.

Chinook Design from Customquiltsbyeva says:

I can personalize any item from my shop for you.

The owl pillows have the requested name on the tummy usually.
I can also embroider a name onto the quilt.

I wrote about how I create the owl pillows in my blog a little while ago. It’s not a full step by step blog, just some thoughts.

Ina from InaSudjana says:

Here’s one sweet felt name banner I made for my little girl.

Whilst her diet is mainly veggies and fruits as these are what we eat at home, she is our lollipop in the house. She’s bubbly, cheery and she talks non stop – well, most of the time!

And of course she loves her ice cream!

I have been quilting for a long time, only last winter I decided to quilt this Christmas Stockings using the English Paper Pieced Technique, I fell in love with them immediately! We offer custom embroidery on just about anything imaginable-even our customer’s own items. We created this one for a prize for a kid’s fishing tournament. We sponsor one of a very few High School Fishing Clubs in a high school in Colorado (Cyclone Anglers). We decided to list this item as a fund-raiser for our club, as we frequently take kids fishing for fun and for competition. We have taken kids to local events, state events, and to events as far away as Arizona and Arkansas.

“Lets Eat” Turkey has always been a big hit at craft fairs! I tend to get orders on him to personalize the writing in his belly with the family’s last name or another Thanksgiving saying. Kelly from ColourscapeStudios says:

I created this bag tag as a thank you for my daughters 3rd birthday, and once I decided that I was going to create my first line of tags and cards to sell here, these were an obvious choice to include. Amanda Jaeger from AlphabetArtPrints says:

Everything in my shop is pretty much personalized/customized, and I love it! This in particular is one of my favorites. When my babies were born, one of my favorite things to do was to make sure they had something specific to them and their story for their rooms. I’d like to share this concept with my baby themed alphabet. Anyone can personalize any alphabet to read whatever they would like, but the baby themed alphabet is fun to write out baby’s name and include their birth date and measurements. So sweet!

Beth Stephens from BethStephensArt says:

Summer 2015 Trend: Problem-Solving Products

Contributor post by Michelle of EviesToolEmporium

I am fascinated by trends. Are you? There are weather trends, work place trends, business trends, job trends, food trends, real estate trends, hair trends, fashion trends color trends and so on.

The definition of a trend is a general direction in which something is developing or changing. In college I took several classes on trends. I remember distinctly studying pre peak – peak – post peak timelines. I find trends intriguing. They pique my curiosity.

During the #CIJParty 2015 I introduced you to the Summer 2015 Trends. Over the next few days I would like to share the CIJ team member trends in more detail!

The third summer trend we’re going to explore is Problem-Solving Products. This article is inspired by the Trend Watch Summer 2015 on the Etsy blog.

Stock Lane Studio from StockLaneStudio says:

Many parents and caregivers have encountered the situation when they finally get their little one to sleep and ‘ding dong’ the doorbell rings and starts the whole nap-time routine in an uproar. This printed door sign makes it easy to warn visitors and family members that baby is sleeping!StockLaneStudioPSP

Pauls and Daiga from ThreadandPaintStudio says:

HI! In our vintage shop VintagePlusSoul we have many problem solving items. As person, which loves to sleep and never hear waking clock in my mobile phone, I love this retro bell clock!

It is so loud, that everybody will hear it, even after long party night! This clock has also nice sound all day long – tick, tick, tick, which do not have modern clocks and it looks stunning too! If you have problem with getting awake in the morning, this clock will be the right!

Rasa Nenart from Toyfifi says:

A lot of children, or maybe all of them have sleep toys, which help them to fall asleep. Sleep toy helps when child is afraid to sleep alone and brings sweet dreams. To say the truth I fall asleep hugging one of my own toys too. He calms me down, helps me to forget all the troubles and finally helps me to sink into a calm and deep sleep. It also can be used as a soft pillow too!

Summer 2015 Trend: Classic Children’s Toys

Contributor post by Michelle of EviesToolEmporium

I am fascinated by trends. Are you? There are weather trends, work place trends, business trends, job trends, food trends, real estate trends, hair trends, fashion trends color trends and so on.

The first summer trend we’re going to explore is Classic Children’s Toys. This article is inspired by the Trend Watch Summer 2015 on the Etsy blog.

Ina from InaSudjana says:

Mine would be the 3 Little Pigs finger puppets.

I always prefer old school children toys against technology these days, as I find that there’s a lot more potential to learn than just watching a screen. Nurturing children’s imagination at an early age is a very crucial part of growing healthy.

I create many classic children stories finger puppets and one of them is the 3 Little Pigs and the big bad wolf. We’re going back to the importance of hard-work against minimal effort for instant result.

Sue and Misty from shabbyshopgirls says:

Old Maid was (and still is) such a classic game for kids of every age! We grew up playing this game and now the grandchildren play it too! These cards are also being used today for artwork in children’s rooms & nurseries – great way to add playfulness and color as inexpensive wall art.

Sally Manke from SallyManke says:

Who doesn’t remember getting the McCall’s Magazine in your childhood household. Each issue had a Betsy McCall paper doll complete with a new wardrobe. Each doll and outfit was carefully cut out and glued to cardboard. These “paper” doll sets are created with fabric for long life.

SallyManke

Rasa Nenart from Toyfifi says:

I think a lot of you will agree that ragdoll is one of the Classic Children’s Toys. As for me ragdoll is a plush toy which is handmade from natural materials (linen, cotton), embroidered by hand and made with a lot of love! So my shop is full with that kind of toys. One of my favorite is Bignose greeny:

Amanda Jaeger from AlphabetArtPrints says:

What’s more classic than rubber ducks??

I had a customer request an alphabet entirely made of rubber ducks. It’s a little different than my typical, abstract alphabets, but I love how colorful the letters are! I found these rainbow colored ducks and my 3 year old helped me “draw” letters with them. Such a fun way to decorate any kid’s room!

#CIJParty 2015 – Scuba Blue – Pantone Fashion Color For Spring 2015

Contributor post by Michelle of EviesToolEmporium

Earlier today I shared my thoughts about trends with you.

Color trends are a wonderful way to celebrate the seasons!

According to Pantone one of the top colors for Spring 2015 is Scuba Blue.

An invigorating turquoise, PANTONE 16-4725 Scuba Blue conveys a sense of carefree playfulness. Even though a cool shade, the vibrancy of Scuba Blue adds a splash of excitement to the palette. Scuba Blue offers a feeling of escape as it is reminiscent of a tropical ocean. This stirring and energizing shade takes us off to an exotic paradise that is pleasant and inviting, even if only a fantasy.

Pantone Spring 2015 Scuba Blue

Pantone Spring 2015 Scuba Blue

Members of the EtsyChristmasinJuly Team have many Scuba Blue items in their shops! Here are a few!

At the end of this post is a big reveal!

Growing up on the far south coast of Victoria in Australia has been a great influence on the colours and textures I use in my creative life, including the glazes i formulate for my ceramic works and jewellery.

As a child, surfing and scuba diving were a normal part of life.

I have many tones of blues and greens in my Etsy shop, but love this pendant because of the random nature of the glaze which reminds me of the wild colours of the sea and of course scuba blue!

Rasa Nenart from Toyfifi says:

Cloud hopper – this is the other name of my Easter bunny. When you look at white clouds in the blue sky you can imagine this bunny hoping on them. So blue ears and hands really suits him although you won’t find so much blue color in my shop, because my favorite colors are green, brown, pastel colors.

Jeanne from TheSandlapperShop:

For years I’ve made this Christmas stocking for my immediate family members. The most recently made one was for a new granddaughter. Hers incorporates pink, gray, and white. However, this one was made in colors relating to the beach – fitting because my shop is TheSandlapperShop! I love turquoise (Scuba Blue) and was happy to give a new look to the traditional crocheted Granny Square pattern.

Wendy Joy from wjoydesigns says:

This magical dreamcatcher has special powers! It not only looks fabulous by day, but at night it takes on an almost bio-luminescent glow! Hand woven in natural hemp, it has a glow flower encased in a clear glass cabochon in the center. It is accented with a turquoise and yellow feather that has a black and pink spotted guinea feather that glows hot pink under black or UV light! The second and subsequent pictures show how your necklace will look at a club under black light or a UV light. By absorbing ultraviolet light and other visible light, it can release the energy in the form of visible light for about an hour in the dark! This piece is reversible and can be worn with the glow flower showing or the intricate, enamel painted back showing. Closes with a nickel free lobster claw clasp. Necklace length is 24 inches .Total length from feather to top is 20 inches.Dreamcatcher is 3 x 3 inches round.

All the parts of this dream catcher have meaning.

To begin, the web represent the spider, our brother of life for ever repairing the eternal web of life. Thus weaving your life dreams and energy in the universe when you dream.

The ring represents the earth mother and the humble walk we do upon her.

The color blue represents Father Sky and all that lives in the sky; grandfather sun, grandmother moon, Star nation and Creation. The color yellow represents the direction of the East where the Yellow Nation is and we call upon their ancestors and the wisdom they carry to come in and teach us.It is also the direction of where the sun rises every day, therefore a new beginning. We put the Sacred Eagle in that direction and call upon the abilities to see far beyond what is in front of us and to focus on the task at hand.In the center is a yellow Sun which represents a new beginning each day!
Natives believe the night air is filled with good and bad dreams. The legend of the Dream Catcher is that it captures the bad Spirits and filters them.Protecting us from evil and letting through only the good dreams. It is believed that each carefully woven web will catch bad spirit dreams in the web and disappear by perishing with the first light of the morning sun.Wear it during the day and hang in above your bed before sleeping!

Jolanta Pietrzak from AlabamaStudio says:

Unique, original necklace with turquoise enamel closed in geometric form topped with a cascade of silver swirls and chains. They look like wild, silver waterfall and complement with enamelled element.
A fantastic addition to the summer festival styling, ideal for your holidays by the sea!

The necklace was designed and made by me from scratch, using two very labor-intensive and precise techniques: wire-wrapping and enamelling. The materials are silver 925, 930 and 999 and two-components enamel based on epoxy resin in turquoise color. Silver heavily oxidized and polished, the frame around a rectangular piece rubbed. Under the enamel a sheet of hammered silver underlined by oxidation.

Welcome New Team Members – June 2015

Contributor post by Dawn from DeeDeeDeesigns

Wow – June certainly has been a boomer of a month for new membership!!

I suggest coffee and cake  to discover all the new shops and fantastic products to follow!

I’m new to the team, but can’t remember if I joined in late May or in June. I just know it was quite recently.

I’ve been crafting almost all my life. I got started by learning to knit at just 4 years old. I’m 59 now, and over the last 55 years have tried almost every type of craft there is. Some I loved and still do when I can, others I didn’t much care for and so never tried again. I started making jewellery 4 years ago and enjoyed it so much that I soon had way too much jewellery and realised that, if I wanted to continue making it, I would need to open a shop. So here I am.

I love working with beads, so most of the things I have in my shop are beaded. I’m keen to find other, non-jewellery, items that I can make using beading techniques, but so far I have only added beaded snowflake decorations to my shop. I have a large number of items ready to sell, but haven’t had time to list them yet as I’m also attempting to sell at as many craft fairs as possible. The craft fairs are fun but they take up sooo much time!

Here is an example of my work, a Kumihimo bracelet that is my most-viewed item:

Melissa R from missy69 says

I just joined a couple of days ago. A fellow member referred me to here. I am getting familiar with all the cool things you do on this team. About myself. I am a part time nurse, currently choosing to not work for a bit outside the home, mother of two children, 14 and 11. I have been homeschooling them both for the past 8 years.
I love to be creative. One of my newest things I am learning is plarn, wood burning, and upcycling. I hope to have some cool items soon. I love to draw, and paint, though I still have so much to learn. I began collecting gemstones when my son was a baby. After a while I figured I better do something with them, so I learned to make jewelry. I have expanded that learning into wire wrapping, and beading, along with my traditional gemstone jewelry. I also crochet, which is not new to me, but an old skill that I am relearning after many years of not doing it.
I have a hard working husband, and we live in the Sunshine State. I love to blog, write, take pictures, and learn all kinds of new things. I am an avid reader too. I guess that is enough, lol.

I am sharing one of my newest and most favorite paintings.

Well, hello there!

I have my Etsy shop since last September. I make original embroidery designs. I try adding listings as often as I can.
My recent Christmas-related one is this ornament design. I have a few of the kind, but this is my favorite from the lot:

I’m the busy tree rat behind “Nuttier Than A Squirrel”. I collect, create, photograph, and market my line of handmade acorn jewelry.

My shop sprouted in 2012 among the beautiful hills of the Shawnee National Forest in southern Illinois. Last spring, I relocated to the Big Easy (New Orleans, Louisiana) to pursue art making on a full-time basis.

I keep my shop fresh with new stones offered in limited quantities, which change on a monthly basis. I am inspired by all things natural and love to spend my free time exploring new spaces with my old-school film camera. To find out more about my processes or shop, check out my “About Page“.

Here is a sample of Ruby Zoisite + Sterling Silver Acorn Earrings, which are a limited edition for July 2015.

I am the owner, designer, and metalsmith at Uruz Metals. My shop operates out of my home-based shop in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana.

I have been working with metal since 2004 as a student at Southern Illinois University. After college, I worked in the construction and pipe fitting industry with southern Illinois coalmines. In 2012, I was laid off from employment and jumped at the opportunity to invest my time into fine art production and developing my own business. To find out more, please check out my “About Page“.

My work gained quite a bit of notoriety in southern Illinois; so much so that I decided to take the leap into full-time art production in the art-loving Big Easy. I am currently working as an artist and freelance metalsmith, and enjoying every minute of it.

When I’m not working in my shop, I am enjoying all things New Orleans – art, food, and music!

This is one of my most recent postings – Black Pearl Drop Earrings inspired by the oysters of Louisiana.

I sell vintage items and wanted to have a Christmas in July sale in my shop this year. I have a few Holiday items and will be adding more this month. Been selling on Etsy since February 2013, retired from my librarian job after 38 years and love being retired and love selling on Etsy.
I just found this team as I was thinking about the prospect of Christmas in July. Someone mentioned the sale, and I started searching the forums, and this team was praised.
I started my shop, Of Mice and Elves, last June, and I sew aprons, including dress up aprons, and baby items. It was still in its infancy last July, so this will be my first year participating. In fact, I hadn’t even gotten my first sale until the middle of July! Since then, I have had almost 100 sales, which is a milestone in itself, and I am still thinking of new items to put in. I made fun presents for my nieces and nephews and everyone said I should sell them, so I decided to open shop. My busy season is usually Sept-Oct, as my dress up aprons make great Halloween costumes! I am in baby shower mode at the moment, and have had lots of opportunities to get my name out there with all the custom blanket and burp cloth bundles I’ve been making for family and friends’ new additions. I look forward to having some fun with the team in July at our event, and wish everyone happy sales!

This is my customizable baby shower bundle, which is my standard gift for any new mom, once I find out what her color scheme/nursery theme is. I have plans to add many more bundles with matching themed blankets and burp cloths over the next few months.

I also have OCD, Obsessive Christmas Disorder which I thank my grandma for. When I was five she bought me my first little 3 foot aluminum tree with pink pine cone ornaments frosted in white. I haven’t stopped since. The crafting and Christmas became a natural extension of each other.
With Pinterest came a whole new world of crafting to explore and I became fascinated with the quilted Christmas ornaments. I made two and haven’t stopped since.

It didn’t take long to realize ornaments are a year round thing. I love the time and effort that goes into each one, from looking for just the right fabrics to go together, to the hand crafting of each unique one. I may use some of the same fabrics on several ornaments, but no two finished designs are ever the same. Each is created with love to hold memories for years to come and to be passed down from generation to generation. Mrs Claus and I would not accept anything less.

I am a Social Media Manager by day so if there is anything I can be a help with, just give me a shout out. This is my Frosty Winter Ornament.

Hello everyone,

My name is Chantale and I’m the owner of bijouchantalgelinas.
I’m been doing jewelry for about 8 years now.

I do craft show and festival here in Quebec and I have one in New Brunswick,

Just started last year’s to sell on Etsy. And I have my own website.

I’m looking forward to do the CIJ for the first time but got to read everything and join every social media. Thank you for this opportunity, I’m looking forward to it.

Hello, everybody.

I saw about CIJ on forums and thoughtt I would try doing it this year. I have had my shop since November 2013. I have sold my crafts for over 20 years at local shows.

I am 63 and had to finally learn to use a computer to do this! I have been sewing for 50 years now, and knitting and crocheting almost as long. Love working with fibers, yarns and fabrics. I sew most of my own modest clothes and have sewn for family and friends also. I enjoy making shawls to go with old fashioned style clothing.

I also love cats and dogs and nature themes. I have more ideas for things to make and sell than I have energy!

My husband helps with photos, computer training, and lifting and shipping. Here is a white bridal shawl I knitted:

Hello, from sunny Greece!

My shop is VolverbyJVerzino and I make hand carved Queen Anne style dolls and Santos dolls .

Hi, we joined today!

Our shop is quite new, but we are selling really unique items- from wrapped thread, we make small, framed landscapes for living or bedroom decoration, kids room decors from thread, greeting cards from thread, you would not find similar on etsy, gift sets and also small acrylic paintings for kids.

As we represent new technique, it would be great to get more popular and reach the costumer. Some of our works:

Hi everyone, just joined the team! I have been selling on Etsy since August of 2010. I make beaded jewelry and rosaries, and I also sell beads and jewerly supplies.

I created Bead Lovers Korner about 13 years ago and have been selling online ever since then. About 5 years ago I quit my full time day job to work at home operating my business. While it has it’s ups and downs, I love what I do and the flexibility of making my own hours!

I look forward to learning more on this team!

Hello Everybody.

Ana Cravidao from acbeadsjewellery says

Hello everyone!

My name is Ana and I am based in Portugal. In my shop, that I’ve started about a year ago, I offer jewellery made with seed beads, pearls and crystals using the beadweaving technique, also called off-loom weaving, which means that just a needle and thread are used.

I have been making and designing jewelry for about 5 years. Before that my passion was photography and painting. I love arts and crafts so I love being here on Etsy where there are so many splendid artists.

This is the most exquisite and time-consuming piece I have for sale:

Hi and thanks for setting up this team and coordinating this great event! I’ve been on Etsy a little over a year and this is my first CIJ event – I’m excited to be a part of it!

I’ve been working with glass as a hobby for quite a while now, starting in the stained glass art and then moving into fusing glass. I enjoy the craft and spend as much time as I can in my home studio.

I sell my glass jewelry here on Etsy, but I’ve also been exploring making decorative and functional pieces as well, which I hope one day to sell too. Here’s a little sampling of my jewelry. I hope you like it!

Hi all

Very excited to be part of this team. I love the Christmas season.

My shop is chock full of vintage/antique items. I have always loved the designs and styles of long ago and so enjoy shopping (the best part) for new finds. What I find most rewarding is learning about older periods..so much history!

I look forward to my first year participating in Christmas in July.

Hello, everyone!

My name is Yvonne. I have been collecting Vintage jewelry for the past many years, and decided to turn my hobby into a business. I am new to Etsy, but have been selling on Ebay since 2007. My how time flies!! I am in the process of moving my inventory over to Etsy.

I specialize in Handmade vintage sterling silver jewelry, mostly Native American or Mexican mid-century designed. I am also interested in collectibles, also vintage. Please stop by my shop and say hello.

HelloY’All!

I am Debbie & opened my shop just this month and found this Team and LOVE the information already that is given by so many wonderful shops.

I am originally from Maine – born & raised. My husband Brian and I moved to Florida 1 1/2 years ago now, and love it! No more filling that outside wood boiler at midnight for heat or shoveling snow!

We owned a shop under another name – (Bib-Dazzle Me, LLC) specializing in Children’s Bibs, Blankets, Toys & more as I was running a day-care at that time and it seemed a logical choice.

In our “down-time” we both enjoy sailing and look forward to the day we can get our 25ft. Catilina sailboat down here from Maine and get back on the water! Enjoy spending time with our new 6 month old puppy Miss Bella, that we adopted 2 weeks ago at a local shelter.

And are avid Nascar fans.

I have Fibromyalgia and enjoy making my Natural Hot/Cold Wraps & Packs to help provide comfort and relief for many others. All specific designs are my very own, though I will never claim to have re-invented the wheel here as Hot/Cold Therapy as been around a long time. I do however know my product and strive to always provide quality product.

I look forward to “networking” with fellow shops and owners. So, please come on over to License 2 Craft, LLC and see for yourself what we are all about. I always give the “Love” back to any shop or social networking.

Hope to “meet ya’ll soon!” ~Debbie

Amath from Gomis says

Hi I’m the creator behind Gomis.

Whereby I travel around the world and work with local artisans to make wonderful and unique items that are hard to find in the States.

I’ve been to Brazil, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, and Mexico. I just came back from my recent trip to Brazil and these Soapstone pots are something I’m particularly proud about. They are Environmentally Friendly, make great gifts for cooks, and just look amazing!

Hello, I joined a couple of weeks ago and have set up my coupon code and also changed tags and headings to include CIJ or Christmasinjuly. I’m just wondering what else I should be doing? Pondering whether I should create a section for CIJ and just offer a percentage discount on the items in that section or apply the code to all the items in my shop. What do you all do?

I got this wonderful Christmas Harris Tweed last year from an independent weaver and my tweed coasters are selling well so thought I would feature these:

Hello

My name is Janine from NSW Australia, and I just joined this team today! I found this team as I was browsing my own team page and saw a post about Christmas in July. I’m not really sure how it works!

I recently opened up a natural soap store on Etsy and will be introducing Candles soon. One of my hopes as an Etsy seller is to contribute to my family, but also to give back something to those less fortunate than myself…that is why I support Compassion Australia’s Child Survival Programs.

Today I would like to post an item from my shop that could be repackaged to be a little more Christmassy…and that is my Pink Peppermint Soap…perhaps with some peppermint candy cane wrap…not sure.

Season’s Greetings!

I just joined this team yesterday, and although I have been selling on Etsy for a couple of years this is the first time my shop, Red Yucca Designs, will be part of Christmas in July.

I am from the Boston area originally, but relocated to southern Nevada in 1996. I have been painting and making things for decades (since I was a small child). I majored in visual arts in college many years ago (BFA in Painting), but I have gone in many different creative directions over the years, including 20 or so years doing graphic design and marketing communications, mostly for high-tech companies. I enjoyed that work but I am glad it is behind me now and I am spending my time making what I want to make, with no creative guidelines or restrictions. If someone likes what I make, great. If they like it enough to buy it, even better! It is fun being able to offer a variety of OOAK, handmade items in my Etsy shop, including jewelry, greeting cards and other assorted hand-painted goods.

Here is one of my newer items where it finally occurred to me (better late than never) to combine my painting with my jewelry making: one of my gemstone necklaces with hand-painted pendant.

I have just joined. My interests are in Vintage Wedding accessories. I hand make bridal head pieces. I also have vintage gift items and vintage jewelry.

Here are some samples in my shop.

Carrie from madcapz says

Hi Everyone – Can’t remember if I joined in May or June but glad to be here and excited for my first CIJ event!

I’m a mom to 2 great kids, wife to wonderful husband, and entrepreneur to Madcapz – my hat business started when I was sick and losing my hair and couldn’t find a fun feminine baseball cap!

Looking forward to Christmas in July and this is one of my fun caps that will be 20% off:

Hello I joined today and this is my first CIJ event not quite sure how it all works but willing too give it a go. I have enjoyed crafts most of my life, and had my own ceramic studio, many moons ago.

I love anything crafty, knitting sewing, jewelry, ceramics, stained glass and faberge style eggs.

Looking forward to the event.

Hello! Jewelry is my passion and I have been designing and creating pieces since I was a kid. Last year when my son was born prematurely and spent 33 days in the NICU I decided to quit my corporate job and become a stay at home mom. I opened my Etsy shop last month and am having such a blast making items to list, especially these fun up-cycled leather belt cuff bracelets.

It is so much fun! I used to sell at local craft fairs and trade shows but am excited to be part of the Etsy global community.

Allyson from USA! I picked up the rainbow loom when the craze swept last year and now as it becomes less popular I stick with it and amp it up a notch with unique items and beautiful color combinations! I also make friendship bracelets like you may have at summer camp as a child like I did, but I take them to the next level with intricate patterns and new styles.

Love the idea of Christmas in July because of how summery my shop is! Most of my items scream summer and the idea of a summer sale will hopefully lead to more sales and customers!

I just joined the team (better late than never).

I sell wall art, digital downloads, and stationery. Most of my items are Aviation or Nautical themed because my husband is a pilot and I grew up on the East coast.

Here is one of my newly listed items that I hope you like:

Well, that the new June members – visit their stores, fav some items and spread the love!
