There are many items in our shop that could be considered for the theme … Up in the Air. We have song birds, ducks, and butterflies that have been hand burned and/or carved and/or painted, depending upon the item. So, it was hard choosing which one to highlight. I chose this butterfly and floral sculpture because it is one of my favorite items. I love the contrast colors of yellow and black on the swallowtail butterfly. I also love its hues of pink on the hibiscus flower.

I have called this large oil painting the “Forest Spirit”. I painted a bird and a tree that are connected to the background of the blue sky and clouds. This is a little surrealistic picture and presents the tree in a somewhat abstract way, which is also the texture of the canvas and the tree leaf structure. All these elements intermingle. The colors of sky and nature are calming. The picture is very decorative and creates an atmosphere of relaxation. It will be a great decoration of the living room wall or another representative interior.

I take what nature provides and turn it into beautiful jewelry to wear and love. This bracelet has a buttery soft brown leather with sunflower yellow Czech glass flower beads, turquoise leaf beads, blue Czech glass bird beads, and tiny seed beads in coordinating colors.

While I’m afraid of heights I still love seeing the vast array of hot air balloons that come in so many colors and styles. So, when I came upon this fabric it screamed make me into a dog bandana!!

The dragonfly symbolizes change and the perspective of self realization, representing an emotional maturity of wisdom, transformation and adaptability. As a creature of the wind, it reminds us to go beyond what we see on the surface and look deeper into the implications and aspects of life – but to keep a light, positive outlook even in our darkest moments. Enjoy this stained glass dragonfly as it catches the sun in your room or garden.

The weather is turning cold here now in the mountains of Northern New Mexico, but I have a Butterfly Bush in my front yard. It is FILLED with butterflies all summer long. And, I already miss the summer. These porcelain earrings are handmade in my ceramic studio and fired 2 times, to temperatures over 6,000*F(0ver 1090*C).
