Rose Gold

Sandy from TesoroDelSol says:

Most of my designs are inspired by ethnic styles derived by my travels to exotic places. I created a simple bangle from rose gold filled metal and gave it a subtle Moroccan look by forging this scroll pattern into it.

Annie from DesignedbyAnneliese says:

I have taken a slightly different twist to Rose Gold and have these rose punches that are gold in colour! I imagined these to be used as confetti at a wedding, wedding anniversary or engagement party!

Ina from InaSudjana says:

Oh I LOVE rose gold. It is the sweet and soft reddish tinge that makes it stand out as oppose to stark gold.

I use it in almost all of my items that have ‘gold’ in it… including this headband.

Sweater Parties

Arlene from ThisandThatCrafter says:

What is so special about this ornament is that a piece of a vintage sweater was given to me to use in a creation from a 92-year-old neighbor of mine. She was a seamstress for many years and is trying to find places for her items to go and be used instead of just being thrown away. She came from an era where you did not just throw away items… once an item was done being used in its original state you would reuse it in something else. She only had a small piece of the sweater left so this ornament is very limited. I am making one for her family and one for our family the rest will be for sale. Her piece of sweater will go on to bring many joy as they hang these unique and special snowmen on their trees.

Barbara from MermaidsHatbox says:

In the 90’s, when my husband and I went out for Christmas shopping in the city we traditional went also to the Christmas market, to a special restaurant and to the Laura Ashley store to look for winter warm sweaters.

The fashion of Laura Ashley was not really my style, but the sweaters are special. This was the only Ugly Christmas sweater in my collection.

Now I have only two of this collection. Those that I found the most beautiful and the ‘Ugly’ which I bought 1993. It was long, long ago that I wear this sweater, but I’m fascinated by the variety of knitting and embroidery every time I saw it.

Pinterest Gift Guides: Fitness And Wearable Tech And Personalized Touches

Contributor post by Michelle of EviesToolEmporium

The 2015 Etsy Holiday Merchandising Guide was released on October 6th, 2015.

The Christmas In July team turned the Holiday Merchandising Guide Into Pinterest Gift Guides.

Let’s enjoy the trends : Fitness And Wearable Tech and Personalized Touches.

Fitness And Wearable Tech

Debbie Gilbert from License2Craft says:

With more and more of us relying on computers, cell phones and gaming now, it is causing an all time high effect on wrist & hand problems. Problems including but certainly not limited to tendonitis, Carpal Tunnel, Texting Thumb and more.

Heat or Cold is a natural, common way to relieve the pain associated with these problems. I have two products designed with just this in mind. Each are filled with a combination of Flax Seed & Rice, and can be used either Hot or Cold, depending upon what is preferred or needed. They can even be worn while using your phone, computer or while gaming! Offering relief, comfort and support for the hand and wrist.

Sue and Misty from shabbyshopgirls says:

We love Christmas Stocking kits – especially these made by Bucilla. They are craft kits that, when completed, have loads of sequins and detail and can be personalized with any name while you are making it! A wonderful craft kit for the ultimate Christmas crafter.

Most of my items are personalized in my shop.. and I love doing them for my customers as I think everyone is special and deserves non-mass-produced items. Something that is made just for them!

CartoCreative from CartoCreative says:

All of the pieces in our shop can be personalized, the default options to choose from are size and color, but customers can also add their names, heart a place, and much more.

Our Boston marathon print was created after a close friend of mine ran in the 2014 race. I was so proud of her and wanted to do something to commemorate all of her hard work. The print includes the date, name, and miles of the marathon, and underneath customers can include the runner’s finish time, name, and bib number.

I’ve always wanted to run a marathon, but for now, I just have to be in awe of people who do. I hope our prints can help runners’ memorialize their success.

Richard and Tatiana from DesignstheLimit says:

Our shop is the complete opposite of a gift card and Everything we sell is personalized! When shopping at Design’s the Limit, we give our customers three options for personalizing the products we sell.

First, you can choose from any of our designs and substitute any font from our selection. We try to provide a selection of design options to suit every taste and by changing the font, you give the design a unique feel. We submit proofs on request for customers if they have any concerns. We have a large variety of monogram designs to choose from, more fonts than we can count in our system, and the desire to make each item personal and unique.

We also offer Inspired Designs where customers can select a product and provide us with an inspiration for personalization. Whether it be custom text, a desired themes, or a specific image we work with our customers to create unique and inspired gifts for any occasion. These are the most memorable orders and typically the most thankful of our customers. Several of our Inspired Designs have ended up being listed in our shop for other customers to purchase and the others are in our portfolio in case the need arises again.

For businesses, we offer to use logos submitted and for individuals we accept images submitted as long as they are in the public domain. This aspect of our business is the most difficult as we have received more requests than we can count for copyrighted images. To provide customer service as personal as the gifts we sell, we have on several occasions gone as far as to contact companies and other organizations to receive permission for one-time use of a copyrighted image and have been able to successfully complete a few.

We have completed many orders for our Inspired Design frames for customers who have provided a travel destination, a housewarming location, a theme or interest, or have provided the photograph they wish to frame for us to create the design around. At Design’s the Limit, the only limitation is our customers desires and imagination. If you know what you want, let us help you bring your ideas to life.

I think this is a wonderful DIY project pattern. While the pattern envelope shows it produced in blue, I would love to see it in a 60’s combo, like turquoise and pink. Even black and white! Please see listing for more detailed pictures.

Luxe Materials

Susana from CherishCeramics says:

My Russian flower porcelain brooch is a very special accessory.
I created a collection of Russian inspired brooches a while ago, inspired by the Russian folk designs.

I read as a child a lot of illustrated stories with mysterious Russian princesses, that were extravagant and beautiful, dressed in luxurious outfits, and this brooch is a result of these memories.

Nancy Duncan from EponasCrystals says:

This rough crystal and soft leather necklace fits right into the luxe materials theme. Vintage brass chain ties it all together. I love using the raw crystals in jewelry. It makes you stand out from the crowd and feel special! Amethyst and citrine are two of my favorites and they blend so well together.

Sandy from TesoroDelSol says:

If I had to choose one of my more LUXE pieces it would be this Raw Amethyst necklace. The rough edges of the stone paired with the 24K gold electroplated edges create the perfect balance. The pendant suspends from a shimmering gold pyrite beaded chain evoking a sensuous and flirty statement piece.

Dawn Whitehand from DeeDeeDeesigns says:

Well, apparently one of the Luxe finishes is ceramic, so that is right up my alley! Obviously I have lots of ceramic wares in my shop, but this one I thought would fit the Luxe theme with its timeless texture and luxe-urious glaze!

Mid-Century Modern Looks

Carmen Beecher from CarmensArt says:

I am very excited about my latest seascape, “Fall Sunrise.” I live on the Space Coast of Florida, and every year around this time the surf starts kicking up. Combine that with the beautiful sunrise and you have a lovely subject to paint. It’s amazing how in just a few steps I can leave the ordinary world of traffic and noise and enter the soothing atmosphere of the beach.

Marjorie Scenna from mscenna says:

Pinterest Gift Guides: 80’s Nostalgia and Prints and Patterns

Contributor post by Alicia from AliciasFindings

The 2015 Etsy Holiday Merchandising Guide was released on October 6th, 2015.

Here at Christmas in July  we are turning this Holiday Merchandising Guide into Pinterest Gift Guides.

Let’s enjoy the Trends : 80’s Nostalgia and Prints and Patterns.

msmadmax  from  msmadmaxshop says:

The 80’s, considered one of the most fun eras…brace yourselves, the 80’s are always making a comeback. Can’t wait to see other team members posts in this thread.
Here’s an 80’s item listed for that special “Working Girl”…yes this outfit probably made a commuters trip or two on the ferry. A great outfit for Wall Street in a special shade of green khaki.

Dawn from DeeDeeDeesigns states:

This upcycled ring is made from colourful 80s buttons and certainly captures the (sometimes) garish fashion of that decade

Patricia and Rebecca from northandsouthshabby said:

Nothing warms the holidays like some kitsch collectible Christmas items from the 80’s are sure to add a cheery nostalgic glow to your home decor this Christmas.

Barbara from MermaidsHatbox says:

I saw this fabric at my fabric store and love it. The Norwegian Christmas pattern and the polka dots in my favorite color combo. First I want to sew loops, one with polka dots and one with the Christmas pattern. But the ‘Snood’ was the better solution to show the beauty of the pattern. A few days later I stay again in the store after I find out, that this pattern is perfect for a winter skirt.

Sherri from ButterflyFeetDigital states:

One of the most fun things about digital design for me is creating repeating seamless patterns. I have lots of digital paper packs in my shop, and lots more started that I have yet to finish on my computer. Sometimes before I get a set finished I have another idea … so, lots to work on at any time. This set is special to me because I learned and used a new way to add or layer flowers or other design randomly to a repeating pattern.

Sue and Misty from shabbyshopgirls says:

We love the prints and patterns of the traditional Christmas Holidays! This tablecloth features a pattern of Christmas Carolers singing their merry tunes! This pattern was also used on kitchen dish towels and has been featured in many vintage Christmas decor magazines.

Annie from DesignedbyAnneliese states:

I really enjoy reading. I decided to make a few bookmarks for other book lovers out there! I especially love the Japanese patterned paper and so made these bookmarks with this pretty paper. When making these, I thought they would make a lovely gift.
