We all like to feel pampered once in a while. What better place to feel this way than Home Sweet Home? We checked in with our teamies to see what they love and/or sell that’s a luxury for at-home use, and here’s what they shared:
I’m happy to present you handmade felted shoes made of softest merino (Australia) wool of anthracite colour. Merino wool is the best wool in the world! You feel these shoes like a second skin on your feet and they are perfectly light and tender. The shape is slim, which wraps around your feet. They are soft, perfect for soothing your tired feet at the end of a long day. And the anthracite color is good for every interior also. Sole is made of natural latex.
Hi to Everyone,
We want to present a beautiful mustard velvet pillow cover. It can bring color to your house, texture, warmth, design, and comfort.
Hi everyone, thanks for opening this lovely thread.
Probably our best-selling little home luxuries are our beautiful leather butterfly and fish key chains. They’re printed using a unique technique on pure leather and padded to be super tactile. They make really wonderful tokens to say, ‘Welcome to your new home’, but are also just a gorgeous pick-me-up to keep in your pocket or as a bag charm when you want a hint of luxury.
All my creations are based on my mood and my daughter’s mood! These sterling silver napkin rings would make a wonderful gift!
So many times, when making a purchase, home decorating is not at the top of the list of things to buy. Essentials like clothing, food, school supplies, etc. usually take precedence over little things like home decor luxuries. Although these types of items are not at the top of the list, they do make wonderful gift ideas.
One of the favorite home decor items in my shop is the cascading tea cup floral arrangements. These are not only elegant but they are also a conversation piece too. The floral arrangements compliment any room in the house and are quite capable of reminding you about the good things in life every time you look at them.
Love your home and give it a little exotic luxury with this multi functional pillow designed in the silhouette of a women made with African inspired cotton fabrics and poly fibre filling all machine washable. The pillow is multi functional because it is not only decorative but also acts as a neck rest in an unconventional way.
A super soft, chunky knit blanket, hand knitted throw made from hand spun super bulky yarn. Perfect for wrapping around your shoulders or simply to add a splash of color to your home.
Home luuxuries! How about a nice warm bath? You can soak in the tub and wash with these sweet soaps. My mother Pearl never showered but loved to soak in the tub, even when she had trouble getting out! I was there to help!
Owning Waterford crystal is definitely a lovely luxury. These champagne flutes make any occasion an enhanced luxury event. Cheers.
Many thanks for all the great shares!
Until next time,

Metallic is defined as anything made of or looks like its made of metal. Different metals tend to be popular at different times. At this time silver seems to be the hot metallic. I know some who follow the trends, but truthfully its personal preference.
We want to see all your metallics. Tell us all about your metallic item. What is it? What does it do? And so on….
Gillian from Gillisflowers said I like playing with different papers and often combine them in different ways. For this metallic looking hair comb I layered a VERY fine and delicate tissue paper in shades of blue on to a piece of silver foil paper. I love the finished effect and this hair comb really looks more like metal than paper.
Dawn from DeeDeeSupplies says being a supplies shop I have lots of metal in my shop!! These swirly beads are my favourite at the moment … I love the way they capture and reflect light due to their flowing shape.
Because of this swirly reflective quality they are not only great for statement jewellery but would also be great for home decor design such as wind chimes!
Diana from joliefemmebydiana said a lightweight little bag to use for evening is great with a metallic touch! One of these has gold metallic accents with green and the other has silvery metallic with teal. Both make a great gift!
Richard and Tatiana from DesignstheLimit states we originally created this design for the Net Neutrality protest many years ago now, but we keep it listed to show our support for Net Neutrality. We encourage Etsy sellers to show your advocacy in your Etsy shop and social media. www.etsy.com/advocacy/net-neutrality
Personalization, using any combinations of the designs in our portfolio and fonts we have available in our selection, is included in the cost of the products in our Etsy shop, but we also offer and specialize in commissioned inspired designs including images submitted on request. Submit your own images, have us create an inspired design with your inspiration.
Dawn from DeeDeeDeesigns says this necklace is made from upcycled metal guitar strings wound with a thin metal jewellery wire. The memory wire necklace is also metal, and while the feature bead is plastic it has a statement metal presence.
This is a great gift for the music lover!
Connie from Bungalow42 states the Mardi Gras rainbow of shimmering colors in these dangle earrings will literally go with any party attire. Check out all those cool iridescent colors. No glitter here but rather a metallic finish applied to these most unusual lightly ribbed vintage lucite beads.
Tovi from tovisorgaboutique said we print on leather and have a very unique range printing on metallic leather, so our products have a beautiful metallic feature, combined with rich, high-definition print design.
Some of our most popular products include metallic leather clutch bags, cuff wallets, bracelets and this particularly yummy Birds of Paradise tote bag – which features a toucan on one side and a cockatoo on the other.
Judy from JAMsCraftCloset says my sweet metallic silver flower girl basket will bring smiles to everyone as she walks down the aisle spreading her rose petals. The PERFECT accessory for the PERFECT wedding.

I kind of have a thing for green glass. I found this at an estate sale in Ringwood, IL He was gentleman farmer, and a great a collector of vintage and antiques for the house and barn. So, this piece and another vase are for the shop; the other pieces I’m not ready to part with yet!
These fibers were crocheted in rug a long time ago by me, on my early days of craftsmanship. It was too tensed (small hook) and with no technique in changing rows and colors, had never been used, was stored untouched. During this summer and after my present experience I decided to unravel it and this is my new addition to my carpet section.
I love art dolls and Halloween so a zombie art doll is the perfect creation for me. I design my own patterns and I love to hunt for vintage findings such as buttons, keys, gears, nails, etc to be the perfect accent for each doll. I hand dyed and print my own fabrics to make each doll a truly unique work of art! Zombies can be a year round decoration…not only for Halloween!
In Austria we believe pigs are for good luck so we give each other pig related goodies for new year. When I saw these adorable pig charms I could not resist!
I love the colour combination of purple with gold! When I came across these raw brass settings, I just knew I had to create these glass opal dangle drops. Add some quality 14K gold filled ear wires and the earrings are a delight!
My favorite stone is turquoise and I incorporated many other types and styles of beads as well. This is a southwest style necklace with a feminine touch.
Since the subject matter that I want to explore and communicate is so dark and melancholic, I like to play
around with a beautiful fairytale-like look to the image. I want to “draw” the onlooker in and then let them
discover that everything is not as it should be in this “beautiful” place. I love the uneasy pairing of innocence/
cute and ominousness.
What do you have/use that’s cool and rustic — and maybe even repurposed? Tell us your stories! Here’s what our teamies had to say on this subject!
I have been creating elaborate and simple paintings on plain or ornately hung can lids for years now; I like to decorate, with foods in queue for dinners, to furnish my home using things I already have or acquire through basic living.
Here is an example of my artwork that can function as a fan pull, wind chime, garden tag, or holiday ornament depending on the hanging or mounting system.
Thank you for considering this item and enjoy!
I love the little gift boxes I get from other shops with items that I purchsed –adding a bit of old lace and a gemstone flower and voila — we have a cute little trinket box or to use for your gift giving.
Get ready for romantic lighting in your old fashioned farmhouse and cottage.
There are 3 candle holders. When I was a child my mother said prayers with a silver candelabra with the lights off.
Jim grew up on a farm. We still have several old farm implements that are truly rustic and rusty. This old hay baler hook was found in a beautiful house on several acres. The whole inside of the “shop” walls were just full of wonderful rustic, antique, and rusty implements. We’ve kept some, and few have found their way into the Lazy Y.
We specialize in creating custom inspired designs for any theme including Rustic and look forward to designing a frame for your next picture perfect moment! We have two sections of our shop dedicated to custom framing including frame designs for any theme occasion, destination, or cause for celebration! Frame your moments and share them with the world!
Many thanks for all the cool entries!
Until next time,

Most of us have a few libations from time to time. Most of us tend to like either wine or beer. This love usually follows us in what we create.
What do you have in your shop that relates to beer or wine? Please tell us anything and everything about your item.
Great for entertaining and offering guests wine or liquor. It has a cork stopper to seal top and is a great vintage barware gift.
Cindy from Cynhumphrey said does drinking wine bring out the wild side of you? These WILD looking wine glass charms may just be a perfect fit for you! They not only show you like to have fun, but offer a way for you and others getting wild with you, the opportunity to “mark your territory” and spot your personal glass easily.
This card is printed from my original painting that was created to celebrate our fifth year as an international art group, CanvasOrClay which was a great way for artists to come together and create and inspire and critique our art on yahoo groups back in the early days of eBay and AOL
Titled “Here’s to Us”, it is a tribute to friends and fellow artisans coming together to create more than friendships.
This handmade ceramic champagne flute is the perfect way to celebrate and would make a great fathers or mothers day gift, 21st birthday or graduation gift or milestone birthday gift!
Richard and Tatiana from DesignstheLimit said we specialize in creating personalized glassware for any spirit or spirited occasion including beer mugs, beer tasting flights, and craft beer glasses! We encourage our customers to take their enjoyment of spirits and brewing to the next level and create their own personalized glassware set to enjoy and entertain with. Choose from our designs, submit your own images, or have us create a design for your brew! We have an entire shop section devoted to Beer, another devoted to Wine, and a third devoted to Distilled Spirits in addition to the other product canvases we have available in our shop. Make your next gift giving opportunity into a spirited gift giving experience to be enjoyed and put to good use. Please drink responsibly in style, in your own home, and don’t drink and drive!
Vintage barware in the Lazy Y is an extension in our love of wine, entertaining, and being entertained. Drop by for a nice white Riesling or sweet Moscato on a summer evening.
For some of us, August may be our last chance to hit the beach for the summer. What do you love most about the beach, and which/where is your favorite? We asked our teamies what they bring (or sell) related to BEACH TIME (!) and here’s what they said!
This photograph was captured on the Oregon Coast (I offer a printed and printable version). My children and their cousins were having a little beach therapy: sinking their feet in the sand. The wild natural beaches of the Pacific North West are my favorite. The chilly waters of the ocean along the Oregon coast can be too much for some, but with temperatures reaching 107°F (42°C) in much of the state for the first week of August, the Oregon beaches are the place to be.
At Design’s the Limit we have an entire section of our shop dedicated to Destination Themed Picture Frames including a number of Tropical, Carribean, & Beach Themed Destinations! We encourage beach goers and vacationers to take a picture and share your experiences with the world! Inspire others with your custom picture frame and the memories of the moments they contain @DesignstheLimit.
Watching the water from the beach is a peaceful pastime! Nothing soothes like the sights and sounds of waves and blue water. Any coastal drive or town is a fun visit to the lovely ocean! Here is a sailboat scene on my little mini pocket. Perfect for a any sailing enthusiast.
I can’t think of the beach without the sight and sound of waves breaking on the shore. If you explore beneath the waves, you might be surprised at the variety of sea creatures that inhabit the reefs. Our “Reef Buddies” quilt features pieced wave blocks along with colorful creatures from the shallow seas. Use this pattern to make a keepsake of your perfect beach vacation!
My family started an annual beach trip and we went to the Oregon Coast this year. It was really cold there but I loved watching my nieces and nephews play, a couple of them had their first time seeing the ocean! I have this adorable beach theme scrapbook in my shop perfect for those cute photos of kiddos playing on the beach.
One glance at my shop will tell you that I am fond of the beach. I grew up near the Texas coast and spent many happy childhood days on the beach with my family. As I grew my love of the beach flourished. I learned to surf in high school though anyone familiar with the Texas coast knows that the waves are usually kinda lame short of an approaching hurricane. Storms aside catching a modest wave on my giant surf board (dating myself here) was always a thrill.
It is this love of the beach that inspires many of my designs but none more perhaps than my shell earrings. Each shell is spaced expressly to mirror the opposite earring. Given the unique nature of shells no two earrings are identical which is part of their charm. The shells sway gracefully on waxed linen thread and make a lovely sound that is so faint only the wearer will hear its whisper.
Get your beach on!
My favorite place to visit the ocean beaches is New Zealand. Not so much for white sand, but I love rocky coastlines, and NZ has lots and lots of that. I find beaches especially interesting when there are seashells to find and rocks to explore.
This stationery / printable journal set is from a variety of beaches – New Zealand and California, but I’m not sure to be honest where they all were. I sell scrapbooking items but I am pretty poor at actually finishing scrapbooking, and have lots of unlabeled travel photos in drawers and on the computer. I hate that I am so disorganized!
I was half brought up on the beach with spending all holidays at the family beach house! At this time it was a sleepy seaside town, now it is a commercial metropolis with corporate surf shops and fashion labels – needless to say I don’t go there anymore!
But I do still love the beach in summer. These beach themed charms are ideal for adding summer accents to your jewellery, bunting, handbags, and home decor.
I was raised surf fishing and enjoying the beach, fishing, relaxing, and camping as a child, here in Florida.
Many of my pieces are beachy, but not typical in my opinion.
I prefer the early morning and the eveing and the night, which is reflected in my artwork and functional art pieces. I hope you enjoy this entry.
This my absolute favorite item in our shop, and going to the beach is the most magical of all vacations. We really like Destin, FL and the Gulf of Mexico. I bring my beach chair, a good book, and an umbrella. I can spend all day there, watching the waves and just be still. There is a spirituality about it and peace just flows through you.
The thing I love most about the beach is collecting sea shells. We have a lot of good beaches near by. I have a few beach inspired items, this is one of my favourites as I love seahorses.
I am spending much of the summer on Cape Code shell collecting! Here’s a brass shell favorite from my own collection!
I live in the desert and going to the beach usually means a trip to San Diego. I love walking the beach and finding artifacts. That gave me the idea for the polymer and angel skin coral necklace.
Who doesn’t like to see dolphins when they’re at the beach? Beach and dolphins go hand in hand for me! But since you can’t go to the beach every day to see these amazing creatures, this wine bottle stopper can bring back the happy memories of when you did!
I remember our trips to Myrtle Beach and Tybee Island with our children when they were small. It was the best time ever just to see their little faces light up at the sight of all that water!! We always came back home with tons of beautiful sea shells with plans to create something special to remember our trip.
Although, I never liked the salty water on my skin I did however, love walking through the cool sand as the sun would set and at early morning sunrise!!
My favourite beach as a child was Air Papan Beach in Mersing, Malaysia. My family used to go there very often, and I remember making many various sand cakes (they don’t really count as castles) with the very white and very clean sand. The sand would squeak if you rubbed your feet in it the right way, which was a constant source of amusement for me as a young child.
I love collecting seashells on the beach! There are always so many different shapes and types of shells. This is a special piece of jewellery I made with a collected seashell and bead embroidery.
Nothing like the beach on a hot day! I love to read a book relax and watch the water and waves. My favorite times are when my children were small nothing like the joy on there faces as they played in the sand and water. Of course I loved having a cool swimsuit to wear too!
Thanks to everyone who participated – fun items!

Vintage is a very big part of what is for sale here on Etsy. There are home decor, games, clothing and more. There are now things that are considered vintage from when I was growing up.
We want to know what you have in your shop that is vintage. We would also like you to tell us something about the item.
Linda from LazyYVintage says I love vintage and antiques, always have. Milk glass is a favorite as is American glassware makers. Fenton glass is beautiful and collectible. This lovely milk glass cake stand is designed in Fenton’s silver crest line of milk glass serving ware. So a lovely addition to your next holiday or dinner party.
NeatoKeen said I collect and sell vintage tea towels with fun graphics from the mid-century. I was first drawn to them because they made me smile. I am continually amazed that I keep finding “new” designs after a decade of looking for them. This London souvenir tea towel is one of my favorites because there are 55 people from all walks of life on it. I never tire of looking at it. In fact, I have one framed and hanging in my house!
Mrs A from 2aEmporium states that I like Vintage because it reminds me of happy memories from the past. I feature many vintage items at 2aEmporium. This Homer Laughlin Gravy Boat from the 1950s is one of my favorites. One day I was watching a rerun of The Andy Griffith Show. While Andy, Opie and Aunt Bee were eating dinner, one of them passed a gravy boat. I yelled “Hey, that’s a Homer Laughlin Gravy Boat. It looks just like the one I have in my shop.” Now, while I’m quite sure that the gravy boat I have listed isn’t the exact same one used on The Andy Griffith Show…wouldn’t it be fun to pretend it was?
Pam from PearlsVintagebyPam says vintage tea kettles are special. This copper Revere kettle is very special. My father in law worked at Revere Copper and Brass in Rome NY. I am featuring a copper tea kettle.

Most of us have at least one hobby that we do in our down times. A hobby could be reading, crafting, biking and so much more.
What summer hobbies do you participate in? Are these solitary ventures or group events? What is it about them that you love? Tell us anything else you want to tell us about it.
Susan from SSFDesigns says my husband and I love to go bird watching ! We go for long walks with our binoculars and bird books in hand . We have started a life list and so far we have 115 birds on that list! Not only is it a wonderful way to spend time together get some exercise it also inspires me to crate seeing all the beautiful colors!
Linda from LazyYVintage said I usually tackle do it yourself projects. This year, I sanded and repainted a round picnic table and its four benches. I wish I could post some pictures of it! I picked it up for $20 at a garage sale. It is a VandyCraft made by Edward Vandy from Oak Park, IL. He had a shop at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago from 1956 to 1979. I didn’t know that until I started the sanding.
Next, 1950s aluminum couch glider and chair for the backyard…..should be interesting.
Cristal from DesignsbyCristal states that every summer my family and I try to find a different local farm to buy our summer fruits and veggies from. I have so many allergies and dietary issues that buying fresh and making the meal myself is the best but sometimes the stores don’t carry a decent selection of the types I want.
We love to see how the farmer marries different veggies to create somethings brand new and these are the ones I gravitate towards the most. I love coming home to unload my colorful finds and getting together with my daughter to decide what our next master piece will be. We recently made a sweet potato pie from purple yams (yummy)!

Geometrics are decorative patterns or designs based on geometric shapes. They can be used in home decor, supplies and so much more.
Here at CIJ we want you to show us all your geometric items. Please tell us about your item, including what geometric shape it is.
Gillian from Gillisflowers says this earring features 2-D and 3-D geometric shapes, two triangles a kite and a cuboid bead to finish it off. Although my jewellery is mainly floral, it all starts with a geometric shape usually a square.
Richard and Tatiana from DesignstheLimit states that math is the universal language of thinking minds and Geometry is its functions. If you see math everywhere you go, you may enjoy this elegant wine bottle stopper and its geometric shape! Our tapered optic crystal wine bottle stopper is a geometric delight. We always get great feedback from this item as the picture does not do it justice at all and we plan on retaking the pictures, but never seem to find the time! The bottle stopper itself is all crystal and we need to add a picture of it without the bottle in the future. An Etsy sellers work is never done…..
Linda from LazyYVintage says cuff links are finding their way back into the mainstream for men’s accessories and jewelry. This set is triangular in design with the shape of the cuff links as well as the atomic design embossed on them.
They are available in various colours and quantities.
Sherri from ButterflyFeetDigital states that this is a digital paper pack. The design has various shapes and sizes in rounded corner squares and rectangles. Fun squares in fun color combinations. Great for creating invitations or party decor, scrapbooking or card making.
Cindy from Cynhumphrey said I love playing around with different shapes when designing my jewelry. This is a cute pair of light weight earrings using ovals and circles. The colors are perfect for summer but can certainly be worn with many different outfits throughout the entire year.
NauticoCreations states this is a handmade quilt featuring octagon shaped pieces in oranges and greens. The fabric is a batik pattern and the colors make a great fall statement.
