Leadership Spotlight – EponasCrystals

Contributor post by Alicia of AliciasFindings

Leaders are an essential part of any team or organization. Leaders help other members succeed and grow as well as help the Captain achieve their objectives. Here at Christmas in July we have some wonderful Leaders and we want to honor your accomplishments in what we are calling Leadership Spotlight.

Nancy Duncan from EponasCrystals is our honoree today

1. What made you decide to join the CIJ team and what do you love about the team?

I joined because I thought the team would help me learn a lot about promotion and networking on Etsy.

2. What made you decide to become a CIJ team leader and what do you enjoy most about being a team leader?

I am pretty active on Pinterest and thought I could help with the teams promotion there. Since it’s pretty much a visual tool, it suits me perfectly.

3. What is your style of leadership?

I’m pretty much a hands off leader, and only step in when I’m needed.

4. Tell us about yourself and your shop.

I have been an IT manager for over 30 years in my “real life” outside of Etsy, and will soon be retiring from my job. I’ve worked at the same company for 36 years. I’m married and live just out side of a small town in the mid west. We have two grandchildren and a cat.

My shop is bohemian eclectic jewelry and accessories. I grew up in the seventies and still have that “hippie” in me. I love learning new techniques and am a self-taught jewelry maker. I hope to be able to devote myself full-time to it after I retire.
