10 Years of Etsy Trends – Donuts

Contributor post by Alicia of AliciasFindings

This month Etsy celebrates 10 years as a global community of makers, inventors, and collectors. Today, we’re turning our attention to 5 memorable trends that have made their mark over the years.

With a history dating back over 150 years, donuts have long been a part of our culture’s confectionery landscape. Over the past decade on Etsy, however, they’ve found new life — and scores of sweet-toothed fans — as socks, stickers, even desk supplies. Why the fried fixation, you might wonder? The answer’s short and sweet.

We wanted to know if any of our CIJ members had any Donut items in their shop and the story behind the item.

Melissa R from missy69 says:

Donut jewelry pieces are very versatile. You don’t need to drill a hole or anything. These were created because I was learning to play around with resin. I have square donuts too.

Donuts are something most of us love, which is why I think it is among the 10 Years of Etsy Trends.
