Contributor post by Michelle of EviesToolEmporium

Color trends are a wonderful way to celebrate the seasons!

According to Pantone one of the top colors for Spring 2015 is Tangerine.

Spontaneous and gregarious, Tangerine is a juicy orange shade that is energizing, yet not jarring to the eye. Versatile Tangerine is striking enough to stand on its own and adds vitality to a printed pattern. Good natured and friendly, but with a tangy edge, this fun-loving color invites a smile.

Members of the EtsyChristmasinJuly Team have many Tangerine items in their shops! Here are a few!

CandyAppleCrafts from CandyAppleCrafts says:

I didn’t make this piece, but it caught my eye. It’s such a fun, carefree design! I can picture a lady wearing sandals and a scarf in her hair, carrying this with her on the way to a sunny brunch or afternoon at the beach!

Ina from InaSudjana says:

I wanted to do something that’s out there. And for a business card wallet, it needn’t be dull and boring. I need an edge – a fun yet practical, a pick me up yet serious. Tangerine it is! Just LOVE the combo with the dusty turquoise!

This multi-colored baby blanket is finished with a brightly colored tangerine edge. This blanket was made by my mom and the material was inspired from nature, showing creatures large and small. The colors are so vivid and the animals varied that it really does make you smile.

Noel from MinkCouture says:

A hand dyed silk scarf inspired by vintage couture. Dip dyed darker tangerine around a peachy background the scarf was then hand wrapped around a pole to get a lovely snake skin effect with black dye in the center!

I love using nature to inspire my scarf designs. Each one is unique and made by hand.

These scarves were inspired by full length shawls, which everyone loves the look of, but no one has the opportunity to wear.

Inspiration was a “red carpet” pageant theme…simple & elegant!

Betty Travell from LadySnooks says:

In the store where I buy beads, they had strings of hand blown glass beads of all colors. There was one string that caught my eye. It was multi-color with 11 beads per string. there were two of each color except the tangerine swirl with yellow. That was the bead I wanted. So, I had to buy two strands to get this one pair, but it was worth it. It is a gorgeous bright color that just invites fun.

Dawn Whitehand from DeeDeeDeesigns says:

Much of my inspiration is organic colour and surface drawn from nature so I love this triple pendant necklace made from marbled clays designed to feature the inherent texture of the natural clay body – there is no glaze. The contrast of the orange tangerine and white colours are fresh and playful. This is a great necklace for day or night time wear.

It even comes packaged in a gorgeous tangerine drawstring jewellery pouch!

Nancy Duncan from EponasCrystals says:

I love the color in these coral beads! Reminds me of a sunset or a bright sunny marigold. Or a tangerine! All reminders of summer and warmer weather, which I am sure we all are wishing for.

Desert Dabbler from DesertDabbler says:

Aventurine is a semi-precious stone that comes in an orange tangerine color. It is said to bring bountiful goodness to those who wear it. It reminds me of orange sherbet. I hand beaded this bracelet with it by adding glass pearls and silver Delica seed beads.

I have very little that’s orange or tangerine but here’s a Mother’s Day card that’s very bright.

Kelly from ColourscapeStudios says:

I created this print as a “pick me up” for home, and then found a lot of people resonated with it! So I added it to my shop in bright tangerine, it really stands out and that’s what I’m striving to do!

I had made a set of coasters for myself and they turned out well, so I decided to make some digital download coaster art. This set has a lovely tangerine chevron.

Tracy from LittleShopofColor says:

This item is part of a rainbow collection of papers that I have been creating. I still have 5 more sets to post and I am also combining the papers into two large bundles of 5 sets. My inspiration – all the colors of the rainbow!!

The papers in this pack have a pretty “tone on tone” effect so the tangerine color is really pretty.

Wendy Joy from wjoydesigns says:

I was inspired to make this butterfly sun catcher in honor of the monarch butterflies that I loved so dearly as a child. I have been seeing them in their annual migration less and less over the last 10 years and it truly saddens me. I made this as a reminder to myself and others to remember these beautiful delicate creatures and to save them by not using pesticides. Also, as a reminder to plant butterfly attracting flowers in your yards to help them on their cross continent journey!

Lia Russo from Ghirlandiamo says:

This is not a proper wreath for spring time! But people love it in any period of the year and it’s one of the preferred ones.

I love using natural elements in my decors and dried oranges and dried whole tangerines always add cheerfulness and color.
