1. What is your recipe?

“Pumpkin Tikvenik (Тиквеник)”
Recipe from Rositza – Bulgaria

500 g ready pastry
about 1 kg pumpkin
200 g sugar
150g walnuts
100 ml oil
20 g cinnamon
Pumpkin Peel, grate on grater and stew in a little oil, cinnamon and sugar until soft and water evaporates it.
Each sheet is spread on paper, sprinkle with oil, stewed pumpkin, remaining sugar and chopped nuts and rolled with the paper. Ranks in the pan greased with oil and bake in a moderate oven 160-170 degrees for about 1 hour from time to time looks not burn. When browned on top, remove and cover with a towel. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar after cool.

This is my favorite recipe for a dessert that is eaten on Christmas Day (but not only). I love this dessert.

3. How did you learn to make this cookie?

My grandmother, when Christmas approached she did superb, and we helped as children. This brings me back to happy childhood.
